Burgundy, slipware clay, fired in a gas kiln.
Andrew is a potter of stoneware and slipware. His pottery belongs to the tradition of english popular pottery craft of the 18th century, caracterized by a very free manganese slipware decor. He produces his slipware with the clay from an ancient tilery where he lived for thirty years. The gesture seems brutal but the result is elegant.
